How long do most last in the freezer and what’s something I can grab when going to work and when I don’t feel like cooking?

most last 2-3 months. You can make macoroni and cheese or lasagne in bulk and freeze them as well as cottage pie. They heat up well in the microwave. You can even make small portions of vegetables with a piece of meat and freeze to reheat in the microwave.

spagetti freezes well put in small bags and should be thawed by lunch time if you put in refridgerator. Just about all leftovers freeze well except anything with potatoes, they tend to go mushy. Anything should be good for a month or even longer if properly wrapped. Get as much air out as possible. Wait to cool before freezing. Bon Apetit’

Chicken Parmesan freezes really well. Just don’t put the mozzarella cheese on before freezing.Homemade pesto freezes great too. Just top it off with some olive oil before freezing.Lasagna is a good idea, but it usually makes so much. I like to make lasagna rolls. Take your boiled noodle, lay it flat on the counter. Spread the ricotta mixture thinly. Spoon a bit of sauce over the cheese. Sprinkle with shredded mozzarella. If you want, throw on some cooked ground beef. Roll tightly. (Don’t over pack or else everything will fall out) Place 2 (or more, depending on how many you eat) in a small casserole dish lined with sauce. Pour more sauce on top. These freeze great and can go from freezer to oven.

You can make soup and then freeze it. Mince can also be made and then frozen. Just get whatever you want out the freezer in the morning and leave to defrost in the fridge during the day.Have you tried looking at the frozen ready meals in the shops? Keep a couple of those in stock because a lot can be done from frozen – ideal when you get home from work and decide you don’t really want to cook!
