I have started my homebrewing (beer) and I’m on day 5 and haven’t noticed bubbles in the airlock. Not sure if the yeast didn’t take or what? Should I continue as normal with my brewing steps or should I put some more yeast in? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

If you have seen no bubbles over the whole 5 days something has gone drastically wrong.I would just throw it all away, thoroughly sterilize everything & start from fresh, as whatever killed the yeast the first time is still in there

There are two possibilities. Either the yeast was bad or (more likely) you don’t have a good seal and the gas is not going through the airlock. If the SG is the same as when you started, pitch more yeast. If it has dropped, continue as before but seal the bucket more securely.
